On this episode of Campground of the Week, Jeremy and Alexandra from the Vandyvagabonds.com share a review of Bear Creek RV Park and Campground located in beautiful Asheville, North Carolina. Nestled in western North Carolina in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, Asheville is a favorite destination for many travelers offering a rare mix of craft breweries, live mountain music, boutique shopping, foodie favorites, and exciting outdoor culture. Basically, Asheville has something for everyone.
Jeremy and Alexandra recommend Bear Creek RV Park and Campground as a great base camp to explore downtown Asheville, just 5 miles away. You shouldn’t expect lots of amenities or activities, however the strong WiFi and heated pool were huge hits for our millennial correspondents.
They also appreciated the helpful front office staff, who gave them recommendations for filling their propane and discount tickets to some local area attractions.
Staying at Bear Creek RV Park and Campground is all about proximity to the local activities and attractions. Listen to hear more details about the following recommendations from Jeremy and Alexandra:
- Biltmore Estate and Tours
- French Broad River Park
- Grove Park Inn and Spa
- Rafting on the French Broad with the Nantahala Outdoor Center
- Shop at Mast General
And eating and drinking! Asheville is known for its craft food and drink culture, so you will want to schedule some serious time for indulging.
Their last insider tip? Always check the schedule at the Orange Peel, a famous music venue with an eclectic line up.
