RV Television Shows to Binge Watch When You’re Not Camping

How do we stay entertained during the long, cold winters in the northeast? Finding a few fun RV television shows to binge watch helps keep the blues at bay when we can’t hang out at the campground.

During the summertime, our TV is rarely turned on, and we spend most of our time outside. But when winter rolls around, the days get a whole lot shorter. We love finding some great binge-worthy programming on TV. Here are some options for RV television shows that will hold you over until the next time you can hit the open road.

Big Time RV

Big Time RV airs on the Travel Channel and may be the wildest and wackiest RV show out there. It’s filmed at the Lazydays RV dealership in Tampa, Florida. The show follows a wide variety of customers (from rock bands to roller derby competitors) as they shop for their dream rigs. The sales staff are also charming and knowledgeable.

Flippin’ RVs

Flippin’ RVs is probably our personal favorite in the genre of RV television shows. Anna and Justin Scribner are the owners of Flyte Camp. They purchase and restore vintage trailers in their shop in Bend, Oregon. If you love all things retro, this show will delight you with every episode. The craftsmanship and industry knowledge is amazing to watch. You can catch this RV television show on Great American Country.

Rock the Park

Rock the Park TV show

This is our favorite television show to watch as a family, and we’ve raved about it on many podcasts. There are no RVs in Rock the Park, but there is plenty of travel and adventure. Co-hosts Jack Steward and Colton Smith are lifelong buddies and daring adventurers who are checking off America’s great national parks one at a time. We love going along for the ride. Their motto is “if we can do it, you can do it, too.” That’s a great message for young explorers. The show recently stopped streaming on Hulu (sigh…), but you can find out when it airs in your region right here.

Going RV

Going RV is the House Hunters of the RV world, and it’s just as predictable and addicting. Unlike Big Time RV, Going RV takes place all over the country at different RV dealerships. Everyday folks searching for the perfect RV are show three different units. By the end of the show, they choose their favorite and drive off into the sunset.

Guy’s Family Road Trip

Guys Family Road Trip

Everyone knows Guy Fieri, Food Network star and host of Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives. Guy hit the road with his family in an RV for a special show called Guy’s Family Road Trip. The show doesn’t spend a lot of time on the RVing part, but that’s okay. It’s great to watch the family dive into the local food culture in a destination. If you need some fun road trip inspiration, this is a good place to get it.

Now, our family is as addicted to our Amazon Prime membership as the rest of America. Along with that membership comes access to a pretty good collection of television shows and movies. If you also have an Amazon Prime membership, you can watch the following RV television shows and movies (some of them for free)!!!

If you need some other ideas for how to stay busy when you’re not camping, check out our Winterization Blues series of podcasts. We have a ton of fun suggestions to hold you over to your next campground adventure!

And when you all are done binge watching, we’ll see you at the campground!!!

Thank you. Buying an RV and wanted to watch an actual traveling show (where to go. What to see). Guess I’ll have to do this myself!! Lolol. But I’m all over RV buying shows for now.
